This driver came directly from VIA who co-developed the Trident system with Compaq. It is based on the VIA 8xxx chipset, and will function with most 5xxx and 7xxx Compaq systems. If the driver works for you, I only ask that YOU BOYCOTT HEWLETT PACKARD FOR AS LONG AS YOU LIVE! HP bought Compaq, uses and manufactures under the Compaq name, but REFUSES TO SUPPORT THE PRODUCTS! I will provide Compaq drivers to this website as long as you honor my request to BOYCOTT ALL HEWLETT PACKARD PRODUCTS, Deal? And I invite the jerks from HP to challenge me!
