This vxd file, and many others are all available on www.treiber-archiv.de/cgi-bin/agent.pl ... shell.vxd, and ntkern.vxd , I'm still looking for, but do a search for "vxd files", and the problem is explained when installing Windows 95 OSR2 over OSR1, if you choose to not replace the newer files with the older files, good luck re-booting ... re-install, then choose to replace the "newer" files with the "older" (correct) files - or just install the first time with the "replace files" option
