According to Trident Microsystems "If your Device ID reports either 8400, or nothing at all, but you think you may have the BLADE 3D, you actually have the VIA Technology Apollo MVP4 8400. Trident sold the desktop integration to VIA, so VIA alone is responsible for end-user support.
